Description
On Monday, October 12, 2015, the Kansas City Fire Department responded to a building fire in eastern Kansas City. During the process of fighting this fire, the department lost two veteran firefighters when the eastern wall of the building collapsed on them.
Larry J. Leggio, driver/operator for Truck 2, and John V. Mesh, firefighter for Pumper 10, gave the ultimate sacrifice with their lives shortly after having pulled two people from the building on ladders. In honor of their bravery, we present this commemorative t-shirt featuring their names and respective company assignments, as well as the KCFD and IAFF logos.
All proceeds from all sales of this shirt will be contributed directly to the IAFF Local 42 Community Assistance Fund, which benefits the families of Leggio and Mesh, and all fallen firefighters in the Kansas City region.
